The Fairy Dogmother

The Fairy Dogmother

The Fairy Dogmother is a Read Aloud & Color Storybook Adventure for grown-ups and kids. It's a fun activity that can be shared by adults and children. Parents (and other grown-ups) read the story aloud, while kids color the black and white illustrations.

Reading aloud to children instills a love for literature and nurtures a desire to learn to read. Coloring improves hand-eye coordination and encourages creative self-expression. As a First Grade teacher, I discovered that combining the two activities enhanced the learning experience. Besides, it was fun!

This series of stories is about the adventures of Honeybear, a little Chihuahua puppy who is in training to become a Fairy Dogmother. She doesn't always behave as she should, and things don't always go exactly as planned! But eventually I think she will do well and make her mother proud.

Book 1 is called Honeybear's Wish. It is 31 pages long and has 13 black and white illustrations to be colored (including the cover). It is an e-Coloring Storybook, which means it is a download. You can print as many of the Coloring Pages as you wish. It's available now in my children's Etsy Store, Little Dragon Dreams! Just follow the link:

I wish you and your children many happy adventures with my little Honeybear!
