Take Inspiration from Native Art Coloring Pages
Native Art Coloring Pages draws inspiration from the art of indigenous people around the world. This type of art embodies the spirit of the people, opening a window into history and allowing us a glimpse into their daily lives. I find Native Art to be fascinating, full of mysterious symbols and unique points of view. It is interesting to me that so many different cultures, so far apart, all have this one burning desire; to communicate their thoughts and experiences through art! The Earth itself provided their materials. Rock walls, bark, animal skins, ivory and bone became their canvas while plants and minerals provided the medium. Add inspiration and Art is born! These Coloring Pages are my own interpretations of the various art styles of indigenous peoples. While I may never grasp the true meaning of their symbolism I hope my drawings express the mystery and beauty that has inspired me. The first group of drawings are my interpretation of a style of Australian Aboriginal Art, known as X-ray Art! Click on the link below for your free Coloring Pages!
