KIDS ROOM DECOR
I grew up surrounded by many examples of illustration, particularly the Art Nouveau style of classic Fairy Tales. I was fascinated by the intricate flowing lines and the way the subject's expressions were captured in just a few strokes. The pictures fired my imagination and inspired me to draw. Nursery decorating has become very fashionable and the choices seemingly endless. I've heard many people weighing in on what style or color is best to stimulate a child's mental development. You can choose fairy tale illustrations, bold colorful Pop Art designs, current literary and cute cartoon characters - even simple geometric patterns in black and white. I like them all! My advice is to simply pick something you like. After all, you will be spending time in the nursery as well, and the happier you are, well, the more happiness you will impart to your child. Of course, as your child grows they will develop their own ideas of what they'd like to see when they go to bed and when they wake up. Kids room decor can become quite an adventure, with unicorns, dragons, princesses, robots and favorite cartoon characters all laying claim to the walls at one time or another! I really enjoy creating children's wall art. I love drawing cute characters and beautiful illustrations.
