Free Intermediate Coloring Pages!

Fish Coloring Page

For kids who have mastered Beginner Coloring Pages, I have created Intermediate Coloring Pages. These Coloring Pages require more dexterity and greater attention span. The pictures are drawn with lines of varying thickness. In addition to thick lines that create boundaries, I've added thin lines that portray texture and patterns. The coloring spaces are intermingled, requiring greater focus to sort them out.

These Coloring Pages are also designed to encourage self-expression and creativity. Kids at this skill level appreciate learning different ways to color and like to experiment with materials. Visit the Tips and Techniques page for some fun ideas to stimulate creativity!

There are several gradients of Intermediate Coloring Pages so you can choose which ones are best for your child's level of skill. A page that is slightly challenging is best. Too easy is boooooring! And too hard is confusing, tiring and just plain no fun! When your child has mastered this level it's time to move on to Advanced Coloring Pages.

Above all, keep it light! Try not to criticize an inability to stay within the lines or (to you) an odd choice of color or pattern. Find something about their picture that you like. Click here for a sample lesson from a successful Drawing and Coloring class that I taught to kids of all ages.
